“Captivating!”
--- Linda
“Inspiring!”
--- Scott B.
“A feel good book.“
--- Hannah F.
“I like the easy, accessible style.”
--- Julia Forster, author of “Shadow Jumper”
“Extremely intriguing.”
--- Lisa Lickel, author of five novels, including “The Map Quilt”
“Good straight forward storytelling and the hook at the end of Chapter 1 works well, when we think the excitement is over. ... The writing is quite good.”
--- Tod Schneider, author of “The Lost Wink”
“It was an enjoyable read. Once I got into it, it kept my interest to see where it was going.”
--- Jill Badzinski, former editor West Bend (Wis.) Daily News
“I like the story. Carl reminds me of Patrick Bateman in ‘American Psycho.’ They are both loners and have a fondness for expensive clothes. I like the description in the first chapters of his interaction, or rather lack of it with his colleagues. I think it's good.”
--- Maria Gibbons, author of “Past, Present, Future?”

BlueInk Review
“A Life Worth Dreaming About” is a valiant effort by author Nicholas Dettmann to update “A Christmas Carol” for modern times. Carl, our present-day Scrooge, loves money beyond all else. He’s selfish, mean-spirited and misogynistic. … Dettmann gets points for his clear enthusiasm in writing the story and clever idea.”
The Reader's Loft
That brings the total stores in Wisconsin stocking my book to six. A reading/signing is in the works.
Boswell Book Company
It is located near the Downer Theater on Milwaukee's upper east side. Plans are in the works to have a launch party at the store.
Library additions
"A Life Worth Dreaming About" is being carried in four libraries: West Bend, Kewaskum, Hartford and Slinger. I plan to do readings at all four here in the near future. And at the readings, you will have the opportunity to buy copies of the novel and have them autographed.
I'm also looking into placing the novel at the libraries in Germantown, Greenfield and Milwaukee. Thank you for your support!

Pages and Pipes
That brings the total of stores stocking my novel in Wisconsin to five.
Closing in on two more stores
I'm hopeful to have both finalized by the end of this week. If so, that'd bring the store count carrying my novel across Wisconsin to six.
I'm still in discussion with Next Chapter Bookstore in Mequon as well.

First store made official
The store is: People's Book Co-op, 2122 E. Locust St., Milwaukee, WI
We will have a book reading/discussion/signing there at some point so stand by for details on that.
As for the other stores, one is filtering out its book section, the UWM Bookstore. The others wanted to take a look at my book first before agreeing to it. If and when those become official, I'll make the announcement.
Lastly, I went to the West Bend Community Library today to see if they took in my book or not and it did. And better yet, it's already been checked out!
